I was very sorry to hear the news of the passing of Rita Yale. As others have said, she had a deep love and commitment to her family. I remember her quick wit, sense of humor, and many enjoyable conversations over the years when growing up in Amenia. I remember Rita from Taconic DDSO. I was a young, new employee and she was so kind to me. She often would tell me about her life in Conn. before moving to New York but her favorite topic of conversation was her daughter Betsy and grandson Trevor. She loved them so much. She was my work place mother and she will always have a special place in my heart. My condolences to the family.

Rita Yale was one of the kindest mothers to a wonderful family who loved education I can always remember Rita coming to school "open Houses", with many kind words and endless concern for the future of her children. She was always positive about all directions taken by the school system! Her legacy for being a caring mom,grandmother and wife will always be remembered!
