Pat and I met while I worked at Verizon in White Plains, NY she always had a positive aura and was always smiling. She brightened up everyone's day. I am in shock and disbelief that she has passed.

R.I.P. Dear friend Heaven gained the sweetest angel. You are truly loved and missed.

Our deepest and most sincere condolences to Pat's family, her boys and everyone she touched on this earth. We were blessed to know such an outstanding woman. A woman who displayed all the attributes of an exemplary human being. Her life lived to its fullest, giving, charismatic, honest, funny, witty, beautiful inside and out, always an example of how we should all live our lives. Here is to you my dear Pat, you have arrived at your final resting place and continue to share with your beloved Joe! We will always keep you in our hearts!

Story shared: Pat's first sale in Real Estate

I met Pat when she was not married to Joe and she was Pat Wentland. She was the life of the office and one who always smiled regardless, full of energy, positive attitude and a classy lady. I had a listing where I represented a little old man who was in his 80's, our friend Sal. Pat showed the multi family and brought me an offer. She had a way about herself that was just wonderful. She came back to the office with the offer and said to me. "Pat I have an offer for you but with my luck lately in real estate, this little old man may not be around to see his home sold by you and me, he seems ill" I said, don't worry Pat he calls me day and night and I am in touch with his attorney so is all good. After 2 days of calling my client to present the offer, I got very nervous and went to his home, only to find out he had passed and was still in his home. Needless to say I called the cops, attorney and so forth. There were at least 3 to 5 cats in the home and Pat, my husband, the client's attorney and I took the job of removing them and finding a home for them. The cats were not friendly and my friend Pat helped to get them all in crates and out of there to good homes. Needless to say Pat did it with grace, always willing to give, no matter how many scratches she walked out of the home with. Months and months later after the estate settle we closed. It was Pat's first real estate transaction and I always thank God I had the priviledge of working with her. Later on we became friends and Pat was marrying Joe Cannizzaro, we were thrilled! I never in a million years expected that Pat would do what she did. Because I was very succesful in the industry and my name known, she refrain from using her married name until she got out of real estate. I thought that was beyond what anyone would do, but true to herself Pat felt it was important to her. I remember telling Pat you need to use your last name, please don't do it on my account. She insisted on not doing it. That to me showed me once again the kind of human she was. I will forever remember my friend, Pat Cannizzaro. Rest easy sweet lady, show them some class up there and dance forever with the love of your life, Joe!

I am going to miss Pat very much. She was always such a joy to be around. I still can't believe she is gone.....but am happy to think that she is with the love of her life "Joe." Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Pat was my student for two classes at DCC--British Literature and Directed Writing of Creative Nonfiction. She was a wonderful addition to my classes--always full of life, always prepared and eager to contribute to discussions, and a very good writer and student. I appreciated the way she could connect with everyone in the class and always had a good sense of humor and fun. The younger students admired her, and we became friends, sharing stories about her GED students and my classes, as well as about our lives. I will never forget her!

Thank you Pat for the love you gave us and the trust to raise your precious Johnny. We treasure the short time we got to know you even though it felt like we have known you all of our lives. The examples of love, compassion, friendship and the unwavering battles against adversity has enriched us in a way not to be compaired. Our deepest sympathy to family and friends. I met pat at Weichert university 17 years ago. We became immediate friends. My cousins live in Poughkeepsie so we met 3times while I was visiting my cousins. Once in Cold Springs for lunch. once in her home and once at the diner in wappingers we planned to get together numerous times, but Joe was not healthy and it never happened. My husband is battling melanoma and she helped me through the hardest time in my life. I have not told my husband of her death he so wanted to meet this beam of light that warmed our hearts. Sorry for your loss. It is a loss for everyone who ever had the opportunity to know her. I felt an immediate friendship with her, only for 2 1/2 months did I have that opportunity though. I met her at the hospital first and then we where at thanksgiving party together and she made me laugh the whole time. We spoke of getting together but didn't make or have the time, but I'm still honored that she wanted to hang out with me at all, considering she must have had a billion friends with as great as she was. Her smile was contagious. An amazing women. My sincere condolences go to all her loved ones.

Georgia and her sisters had known Pat practically forever and considered her as the "7th sister" I met Pat in 1996 aong with her late husband Joe. You can't help but become friends and eventually love the both of them. Every time you saw them they acted as though they hadn't seen you in a long time and made time for you. The phrase that Pat would always say after making a point was, "Just so you know", in that Pat sort of way. She was a one of a kind, an angel sent to earth for 62 years. Until we meat again my friend. JUST SO YOU KNOW!
